It’s a critical stage in a child’s development where they begin to build essential skills that will prepare them for formal education. Our Junior Kindergarten program is specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of children aged 4 to 5 years old.
Activities Involved –
Gathered as a group, children participate in songs, stories, discussions, and calendar activities to foster language development, listening skills, and a sense of community.
Teachers lead structured activities such as crafts, puzzles, and games that target specific learning objectives like counting letter recognition, or color identification.
Weather permitting, children engage in outdoor playtime which promotes physical development, gross motor skills, and social interaction.
Teachers read aloud to the class, exposing children to a variety of literature and fostering a love of reading.
Children participate in singing, dancing, and playing simple instruments, which helps develop rhythm, coordination, and self-expression.
Rotating stations are set up around the classroom where children can engage in independent or small group activities related to different subject areas such as math, literacy, science, and sensory exploration.
